What is the best phone of today? What is the most suitable phone for everyday life? is it worth buying for? Here is my answer: Every phones suits the right customer!
Yes there are a WIDE range of phones for you to pick from! foraverage consumers, you may look at the OS( or Operating System) and say "Meh, it's windows/android/ios.", but what do you want? Here are some factors and tips in buying the phone that YOU want:
1. PRICE
The most important question is that, "ARE WE GETTING ENOUGH OF WHAT WE PAY FOR?", The best tip is to set a budget that you are able to provide, if you have enough money to get the most expensive and top of the line phone then Good for you! But for people who has a limited amount of budget, they should really find the most out of their money. BUT! No matter how expensive your phone is and it doesn't satisfy you ( for now atleast) I guess you bought the wrong phone!
2. BRAND
To be honest, we want branded phones (DUH!), and yes! that is a factor! so what tip should I give? GET THE PHONE THAT YOUR FRIENDS HAVE!WHATEVER BRAND THEY HAVE! Just kidding! But in reality you have to admit, would you buy a phone that no one knows/few people only knows of it? or get a phone that everybody is talking about? For specs sensitive people, no matter what brand as long as the specs is pretty topnotch they would go for it(like me!),And as an example? The One+ 1, no I'm not telling you a math equation but there is a phone named One+ 1, For a sharp tech eye this has definitely the wow factor, I mean it's a Galaxy S5 competitor! Truly a beast phone! but have you heard of it ? for some, NOPE, but for people like me this phone really raises an eyebrow, and that's my point! so my tip is get the phone brand that YOU trust, if you have proven and tested it before, might as well get the same brand again or if you have read a lot of good reviews about it?and it suits you ?might as well go for it!
3. DESIGN
Ofcourse! as of 2014 we don't want to hold brick phones in our hands and displaying it on public, it's just a big NO. Ofcourse we would like to display our beautiful phones and bast its glory among other smartphone users and say "HEY! I HAVE THIS PHONE WHAT DO YOU HAVE?", just kidding! But ofcourse we would like to display it on public without having the shame of using it. So my tip? It's really up to you, many people have different taste on design so you have the power to choose what you really want. My only tip is don't buy a too much of a ridiculous phone. Also! It rather shows your personality in what phone you choose, so choose wisely!
4. SPECS
Ok here comes the geeky part but I'm gonna make this simple and quick so you won't get bored. Buy a phone with bulletproof glass and an updatable processor. period. Nah, not one company have ever made that for smartphones!or did they??? But really, Specs really does matter. Ofcourse you don't want a very very slow phone that you wish you never bought, NO. So here is my tip, Apple users? just get the latest version of iphone and for other brand users? if you want a fast phone? Get a phone with Quad Core on it and atleast 1gb of ram that's the very least, dual cores can do that too but not as snappier than a quad core phone, but if you want the fastest?as of now go see if it has 1.7ghz- 2.5ghz quad core processor and 2-3gb of ram and you will surely love it!
5. COMFORTABILITY/ERGONOMICS
This part is where most people suffer from, the comfortability or the way the phone feels in the hand. Ofcourse this is a minor mistake but soon you'll find out why you should take the factor that comfortness is also required. Phone companies put hours of work to develop their design and we appreciate that, the only problem is.... is it fit for you? My tip is to get the phone that fits best in your hand and feels natural and especially!when taking up calls, Some phones are definitely uncomfortable when taking calls.... why? for example a phone that has a sharp design can really hurt when you have a long conversation in your phone. Trust me I've been there.
6. BUILD
The build of the phone is definitely a factor in buying a phone! we want a phone that can take up beating even without a case. Some companies are well known for their quality! For example: Nokia, oh the ever beloved tank manufacturer, the most well known tank phone is the infamous Nokia 3310, that phone is really a beast! Don't believe me? search Youtube for different torture tests that this beast can take, so anyways! My tip is consider the build and materials, although for other companies that uses plastic you cannot judge it by its cover, why? because it may have a very good build inside it, this is not a vital mistake when purchasing a phone but please! take care of your gadgets if you want it to last! *honorable mention to Nokia Lumia series! Very solid build!*
7. SIZE
Oh heck yes size do matter! Smartphones nowadays range from a simple 3 inch touchscreens to gigantic 6 inch phablets which is basically a cross breed between a phone and a tablet = a phablet, so anyways, not always that a phone that has a bigger screen results in a better viewing experience, it maybe too bulky in your pocket or too uncomfortable when you hold it in your hands. So my tip is if you have a small hand buy a phone with 3-4.5 inch screen, medium hands- 5-5.2 inch screen, for bigger hands 5.5-6 inch screen, but it's really all up to you if you want a large screen? then go! there's no wrong answer although you might be the one to suffer if you bought the wrong size of the phone.
8. BATTERY
Battery is seriously one of the most important factor to consider, we don't want a phone that only last a few hours that would be a complete pain, but! Some users are fine with it. My tip when purchasing your smartphone? Choose the phones that have atleast 2000mAh( Milliampheres) that is the size of the battery or the "Amount of juice" the battery have, those kind of phones usually range from 4-5inch screen smartphones but some have an astounding 3000+ mAh! I can guarantee you that can last a whole day with an average usage of phone, so please do check out it's battery life before purchasing. Trust me on this I have a phone with 1600mAh and it can only last 6-8hours by just texting or screen on!
9. UNIQUENESS
A person's phone is their personality, well that's what I think, but in some instances it's true right? just try to think of it for a second now, does your phone describes you somehow? For me yup! it sort of does. Ofcourse we would like a beautiful phone, but sometimes other people find it ugly, why? Because everyone is unique and has their own sense of design. So my tip is.... just be you! Choose the phone that best describes you and how it feels to own it!
10. DISPLAY
Ok this one is not a vital factor but hey! Pixels also do count! Although for people like me, as long the screen is usable and just displays well, that's just fine but how about a 2k resolution phone? That will just bring the best viewing experience in a smartphone!for example the LG G3, That phone is just a game changer for the smartphone battle. the pictures and the display just pop up! due to it's dense and high pixel count. Ok enough tech talk, so my tip is ofcourse get a phone that has atleast 1080p or HD resolution for a better viewing experience!
So yeah! Thanks for reading! Hope this will help you when you buy your new smartphone! But the most important thing is to choose what you want, and you can enjoy it way better if you really really like that phone!
Thanks and Godbless people!^_^
